With an open mind and a willingness to let the game take me where it wants to go. I approached this game as i approach all games. even if every single person on this subreddit commented here, we probably still wouldn't know if we would like it until we play it. Also, the people on here are a smaller group of people. Most of the time, as i said above, its peoples expectations and specific demands that ruin a game for them. For better or worse, it is definitely a CDPROJEKTRED game. Differing opinions are a given but if youve played the witcher 3 and other games they've made, you're familiar with how they approach games already. Anyone who's only played 10 hours of the story/side missions and doesnt like it is fine. Ive been playing for 30 hours and ive taken my time, so ive only explored watson and japantown for the most part. Ive found so much stuff by just climbing buildings and running accross rooftops. They reward exploration and usually, youll find a data shard with context for the situation you found. Also there are a lot of secret areas and nooks and cranies5 that you wont find if you dont look. Dont think it was ever supposed to compete with, say, GTA's system. The cops are essentially there to punish random killing of NPCs. Tye complaints about the police are also funny because it was never meant to be like GTA. there are events happening in the background that sometimesShe come into play later. Also, the world itself has a lot of world building and lore. They played to their strengths, which was compelling writing. No game with a big city has EVER let you explore every building and nook and cranny. Also, some complain about the city not being fully explorable and that's another unfair complaint.
The complaints about not being able to interact with NPCs is also weird seeing as The Witcher 3 was the same. If youve played a CDPROJEKTRED game before, you know exactly what youre getting.
And the complaints about the dialogue are kind of ridiculous. What really happened is people placed these huge expectation, some too large and many that were super specific, and when that didn't get met, they trash the game. No, people are blowing it out of proportion.
